The story of One Nakfa
The town that never fell became the coin that never devalues.
For nearly a decade, the mountain town of Nakfa was the stronghold of Eritrea's liberation struggle — a trench city that held against everything. When independence finally came in 1991, the new nation put Nakfa's name on its currency, so no one would ever forget what resilience costs.
One Nakfa was its first note — and our promise: clothing whose worth comes from meaning, not markup. Every design starts from something real — the olive branch on the flag, the skyline of Asmara, the coffee that brings everyone home.
